Terms of Use

Using Psynk.

Effective date: Beta release

Psynk exists to help riders connect through riding.

Replay your rides.
Compare with friends.
Learn from every run.

We believe your rides belong to you. Your videos belong to you. Your progress belongs to you.

These Terms explain how Psynk works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask from you in return.

1. Introduction

These Terms apply to your use of Psynk, including our website, web app, replay tools, synced comparison features, share links, telemetry tools, automated insights and related services.

Psynk is operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. References to Psynk, we, us and our mean the operator of the Psynk platform.

By accessing or using Psynk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Psynk.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Psynk. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that takes place through your account.

3. What Psynk does

Psynk allows riders to upload action-camera footage, create replay experiences, prepare rides, synchronise rides, compare runs, generate telemetry-based summaries and share selected rides.

Psynk is provided for information, review, entertainment, learning and community purposes only.

4. Riding safely

Mountain biking, cycling, skiing, snowboarding, motorsport, motorcycling and similar activities involve inherent risks. These risks include serious injury, permanent disability and death.

You remain solely responsible for every decision you make before, during and after your activity. Always ride within your own ability, follow local laws and trail guidance, and wear appropriate safety equipment.

Nothing within Psynk should be interpreted as encouraging unsafe riding or behaviour beyond your own judgement and experience.

5. AI and automated insights

Psynk may use automated systems, telemetry processing, computer vision and artificial intelligence to improve replay, synced comparison, coaching suggestions and future Insights Lab features.

These outputs are generated automatically and should be treated as informational only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or incorrect.

You agree not to rely upon automated insights for decisions that affect your safety or the safety of others.

6. Videos and telemetry

Psynk works with information provided by cameras, GPS devices, mobile phones and other third-party hardware.

Telemetry, GPS positions, timing, speed, elevation and similar information are estimates and are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate.

Replay synchronisation, comparisons and analysis may therefore contain inaccuracies and should always be interpreted using your own judgement.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the videos, images and other content that you upload to Psynk.

By uploading content you grant Psynk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, analyse and display that content solely for operating, improving and providing the Psynk platform.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your rides, videos or personal achievements to Psynk.

8. Public sharing

When you choose to share a ride, anyone with the share link may be able to view that content.

You remain responsible for ensuring you have permission to share everything contained within your videos.

You retain ownership of a ride you submit to an Event. By confirming an Event submission, you give Psynk permission to process and show that submitted ride, its timing and your Event identity to authorised Event participants for results, replay and comparison. This applies only to the ride you submit, not your other rides.

When the submission screen tells you external sharing applies, your submitted ride may appear in an Event comparison video shared outside the Event. Copies shared or posted outside Psynk may be saved or reshared by others.

Withdrawing an Event submission stops it being used for new Psynk-authorised Event comparison shares, but Psynk cannot recall copies already saved, sent or published outside the service.

9. Community standards

Psynk exists to bring riders together through a shared passion for riding and improvement.

Treat other riders with respect. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening or misleading content.

10. Beta programme

Psynk is currently provided as a Beta service.

Features, interfaces, analysis methods and AI systems may change, improve or be removed without notice as we continue to develop the platform.

11. Subscriptions

Some Psynk features require a paid subscription.

Subscription benefits may change as the platform evolves. Unless required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable.

12. Intellectual property

Psynk, its software, branding, interface design, replay technology, comparison systems, algorithms and associated intellectual property remain the property of Psynk unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or create derivative versions of the platform except where permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

Riding decisions are always your own. While we work hard to build reliable software, replay technology, telemetry analysis and AI can occasionally be inaccurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Psynk is not responsible for injury, equipment damage, inaccurate analysis, interrupted service, data loss, financial loss, or any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

Nothing within these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you access Psynk from another country you remain responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms are always welcome.
